A two days long workshop on Linux and programming concepts was held in Cosmos College of Management and Technology on 21 and 22 of August 2012. The workshop was hosted by BE Computer students in association with VAYAM Solution.

Mr. Deepak Malla, Software Development Manager (SDM) at VAYAM Solution gave presentation on the problems and challenges in development of secure & efficient software and the possible solutions and remedies that would benefit the students attached with it. His presentation focused on effects and management of web pages, and the importance of programming concepts.

The basic idea of the workshop was to apprise technical students about the programming concepts and project management. The workshop conveyed information about the current trend in the field of computer engineering and technical society.The interesting features of workshop were brief introduction about c++, c#, .net, Database (Oracle/SQL), Linux, Apache, FTP and their security issues. The emphasis was on illustrating the important concepts of programming with simple techniques without the emphasis on intensive resources and tough methods.

The workshop was productive and beneficial to the participating students. We hope that they will implement the techniques learnt from the workshop in their field of work for a successful tomorrow.
